Ansys LS-DYNA is useful for the analysis of problems involving contact, large deformation, nonlinear materials, transient response, and/or problems requiring explicit solutions. This course covers the use of Ansys LS-DYNA inside Workbench Mechanical. Common applications for which LS-DYNA excels include safety and stability, crash test and drop test simulation, as well as forming applications.
By the end of this webinar, engineers and researchers will be able to:
Understand how the explicit solution method differs from other methods used to performed dynamic analysis in Ansys and to choose when it is most appropriate.
Choose the proper solution parameters unique to Ansys LS-DYNA that will ensure an accurate and efficient solution.
Take advantage of common modeling abstraction techniques (rigid bodies, point and distributed masses) to produce efficient and realistic simulations.

Ts. Dr. Mohammad Hazim Bin Mohamad Hamdan works as an application engineer at DFETECH. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Universiti Malaysia Pahang. His research interests include advanced composite materials and bio-composite.
